Devices for Network Connection

3G and 4G

3G stands for Third Generation and is used for accessing the internet when your outside the house. 3G promises increased bandwidth, up to 384 Kbps when a device is stationary or moving at pedestrian speed, 128 Kbps, and 2Kbps in fixed applications. 4G is just the same as 3G has one difference and that is that 4G communication is increased in data rates, so faster web browsing.

WiFi

Wifi is used to connect a device that accesses the internet to a close by modem. It is a local area network that uses high frequency radio signals to transmit and recieve data over a few hundred feet. The closer you are to your modem usually means the faster the internet will work. Wifi uses enternet protocol

Bluetooth
Bluetooth is used for sending files on mobile, computers and other electrical devices. It is useful when you are sending files within a short distance. It can only reach and connect with other devices over a short distance and will loose connection if you move so far away from the devices you are sending to or receiving from.

Network Interface Cards (NIC)
This is a circuit board which is connected to a computer, that allows the computer to connect to a network and use a networks communication abilities.
